Where Are They Now? The 7 Johnstons, From New Babies to a Broken Family Bond

Eleven years. Seventeen seasons. One family feud that broke the internet. When 7 Little Johnstons premiered on TLC in March 2015, the world fell in love with Trent and Amber Johnston of Forsyth, Georgia — and their five kids: Jonah, Elizabeth, Anna, Alex, and Emma. The Johnstons, described by TLC as the world’s largest known family living with achondroplasia, became reality TV royalty. But in October 2026, the family looks nothing like the one we first met. Here’s where all seven stand right now.

Trent & Amber: Holding the Family Together — and Apart

The parents remain the anchors of the show — and of the family. Trent, 50, has been open on the series about his sleep apnea diagnosis and has urged sons Jonah and Alex to take their own sleep health seriously. But their biggest battle isn’t medical — it’s personal. The couple has not given up on reconciling with daughter Anna, with Trent saying in a confessional: “When Anna alone wants to sit down with her mom and dad and start building this fence together, we’ll do it.” They adopted Anna, Alex, and Emma, while Jonah and Elizabeth are their biological children — a family built on love that fans pray can survive this storm.

Liz & Brice: The New Family of Four

If anyone is thriving, it’s Elizabeth “Liz” Johnston and her husband, Brice Bolden. The couple, who have been together since 2019, married in an intimate outdoor ceremony at the Johnston family home on November 8, 2025 — just weeks after the family lost Trent’s beloved mother, “Nana.” Their daughter Leighton, born in November 2023, served as flower girl. And the milestones didn’t stop there: on September 8, 2026, Liz and Brice welcomed their second child, Coleman Brice Bolden Jr. “Our family is complete,” Liz wrote on Instagram. Season 17, which wrapped in May 2026, largely followed their wedding journey — and according to reports, TLC has yet to announce a Season 18.

Anna: Still on Her Own Path

Anna Johnston’s story remains the saddest chapter. According to PEOPLE, Anna departed the series after Season 16

and has been estranged from Trent and Amber since the summer of 2025. The feud’s origin is still disputed: Anna says it started when she took brother Jonah’s graduation gown without telling anyone and skipped the family graduation photos — “It just kept getting worse and worse,” she said. Her parents tell a different story, pointing to an incident where Anna allegedly took an underage girl to a bar. Anna skipped siblings Emma and Alex’s high school graduation and says she wasn’t invited to Liz’s wedding. As of October 2026, there is no public sign of a reconciliation.

Jonah, Alex & Emma: The Next Generation

Jonah, the eldest, has kept a lower profile — but a recent episode revealed why his parents are so protective: according to the show, baby Jonah spent six weeks in the NICU and nearly died from premature lung development. Fans say that revelation reframes years of Trent and Amber’s strict parenting. Alex, meanwhile, has been sharing relationship milestones with girlfriend Allie on social media. And Emma, the youngest, has graduated high school and built her own following as a TikTok creator — often posting with Jonah’s girlfriend, whom she jokingly calls her “other sister.”

What’s Next for the Johnstons?

Season 17 wrapped in May 2026, and TLC has not confirmed whether the cameras will return for an 18th season. If they do, the question hanging over everything is the same one fans have asked for over a year: will the family ever be whole again? With Liz and Brice raising two little ones, Emma and Alex stepping into adulthood, and Anna still on the outside, the Johnstons are at a crossroads — and millions of viewers are watching.

So tell us: are you Team Trent & Amber, Team Anna — or are you still holding out hope for a full family reconciliation before Season 18? Drop your take in the comments.
