Shauna Rae’s Biggest Dream Has Nothing to Do With TLC — And It Could Be Bigger Than Any Season 3

Everyone keeps asking when TLC will bring back I Am Shauna Rae. But here’s what fans keep missing: the 27-year-old star’s biggest ambition was never about getting back on television. While the network went silent, Shauna has been quietly chasing something that could matter far more than any Season 3 — a fashion line for people the industry forgot.
The PEOPLE Clip That Started It All
Back during the show’s run, PEOPLE got an exclusive clip of Shauna revealing a plan nobody saw coming. She shared her vision of “developing a fashion line that’s adjustable for all types of human beings” — clothing designed to fit “little people and anyone else on the beauty spectrum.” She was even considering applying to the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York for a fashion degree. The reality star, talking like a founder.

Why Fashion Is Personal for Shauna
This isn’t a vanity project. In a candid interview with adaptive clothing brand DEWEY, Shauna explained why clothing cuts her deeper than most people realize: “For me, fashion is how you define yourselves to others. In a sense it’s your first impression, and as someone who’s struggled to identify with the clothing that fits herself, I’ve always wanted to change that.”

She described her personal style as “everyday glamor” — classy, loud, confident, drawing inspiration from Cher, Madonna, Gwen Stefani, and Avril Lavigne. But she also admitted the practical nightmare behind the glamour: nothing off the rack fits a 3-foot-10 woman with an adult body. She buys clothes that need the least alteration and hunts for XXS sizes in local boutiques. As she put it, she wanted “to make life easier to be different and for differences to be more accepted.”
The NYC Problem Standing in Her Way
So why hasn’t it happened yet? The one honest answer Shauna gave back then still stands. FIT is in New York — and New York, she said, gives her “huge anxiety”
It’s the most human obstacle imaginable: the school that could teach her to build the line sits in the city that exhausts her the most.
Where the Dream Stands in 2026
Let’s be honest about what we actually know. As of October 2026, Shauna has not announced a launch date, a brand name, or a product line — anyone telling you otherwise is guessing. What we do know, according to reports, is that she has kept working on the concept: The Blast reported she has been developing an adaptive apparel line, and SurvivorNet reported her modeling an outfit she designed for people with bodies like hers. The pieces exist. The launch doesn’t.
Why Fans Say This Could Outlast TLC
Here’s the case the fandom keeps making: a fashion line doesn’t need a network. It doesn’t need Season 3’s cameras, TLC’s scheduling, or anyone’s permission. As DEWEY’s team pointed out, there are an estimated 800 million short-stature people worldwide with varying fit needs — a market the big brands keep ignoring.
Shauna said it best herself: “I want people to try to include the communities that are missing from fashion. It’s not just dwarfism, there’s disability, there’s even the shorter stature of the average height scale that is lacking in clothing. I want to see these gaps close.”
So here’s the question dividing the fandom: if Shauna launched her fashion line tomorrow, would you shop it — or would you rather trade it all for Season 3 of the show? Sound off in the comments.
