Viewers watch Say Yes to the Dress Atlanta for the family drama but also for all the beautiful dresses revealed during each appointment.
As a spin-off of Say Yes to the Dress, the Georgia-based series Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta had a lot to live up to, and it did not disappoint with its elegant gowns. The show had 11 seasons and countless wedding dresses that took the viewers’ breath away. Brides were trying on everything from extravagant ballgowns with beading to the floor to simple mermaid dresses. With the help of fan-favorites Monte Durham and the bridal shop owner Lori Allen, hundreds of brides found their dream wedding dresses on the show.
SYTTD: Atlanta provided the best Monte moments, beautiful dresses, and sometimes family drama. There were times brides were brought to tears by harsh criticisms from their entourage. Other times, there were emotional backstories that left viewers just as eager to see the bride happy as the consultants were. Lori differentiated herself from the original SYTTD by bringing that southern flair to her gowns.
Jessica Glows In Classic Gowns
Bride Jessica tried on several simple yet elegant gowns that wowed fans on Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta. The timeless dresses may not have had lace and sparkle, but they won many fans over nonetheless. As Monte says on the show, adding the veil and accessories can take any dress up a notch, and it certainly did for this bride (via TLC).
Toya Stuns In A Mermaid Dress
Toya tried on multiple unique mermaid dresses with intricate detailing. She ended up choosing another fan-favorite gown on SYTTD: Atlanta, which was a strapless gown with a dramatic flare at the bottom. Fans fell in love with both of her choices, as her first had beading down the entire bodice that flared out with a tulle train.
Dancing With The Stars Pro Karina Turns Into A Bride
Karina Smirnoff’s mom didn’t like her picks on Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta, but fans certainly thought she found the one with her amazing dress picks. After appearing as a professional dancer on Dancing with the Stars, Karina was looking for a wedding dress that would be different enough from the many extravagant costumes she wore during her time on the show. The DWTS pro tried on multiple ballgowns that were posted on TLC’s channel and blew fans away. However, Karina left empty-handed and decided to keep looking before she committed to a dress.
A Ballgown That Turned Heads
While there been many SYTTD: Atlanta dresses that were the worst, this dress was so beautiful that two best friends fell in love with it at the same appointment on Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta. Terinni and Jenaya had been best friends for 16 years and were getting married around the same time. They both shocked their bridal party with the strapless ballgown and later viewers on TLC’s channel. The corset bodice with beading down the front looked great on both Terinni and Jenaya, making them both feel like princesses. The pair put their friendship first, so they waited to decide who would get the gorgeous gown.
