In a new episode of 1000-Lb Sisters airing June 3 — filmed before her surgery — Tammy opens up about her anxiety as she prepares for the life-changing procedure.
“Honestly, it’s the pain I’m worried about,” she admits. “And I’m scared of how I’m going to look when I see myself afterward. I’m so used to all this skin hanging from my arms… and when I wake up Saturday or Sunday, it’s just not going to be there anymore.”
Tammy continues, “From the face down, I’m going to look halfway normal. It’s scary… but also really rewarding.”

Tammy admits that the surgery will change more about her life than just her appearance.
“I really don’t know how I’m going to feel when I wake up from surgery and look down at myself,” she notes in the clip.
“Even showering is going to be so much different because – I’m not trying to be nasty, y’all, I’m sorry – but I have to take my hand and go all the way up underneath there and it’s kind of deep. In less than a week, I’m not going to have that.”
Tammy has lost 500lbs since she began her weight loss journey

She frequently shares updates with fans on TikTok, and in one candid video last year, she reflected on just how far she’s come.
“My quality of life has changed so much,” she said. “Before rehab, I was bitter, unhappy, deeply suicidal, depressed… just mean. Everyone hated me — and honestly, they probably still do,” she admitted with a hint of humor. “Back then, I had this ‘I don’t care’ attitude. I still do a little, but not nearly as bad. I’m working on myself every day.”
