In Season 12 of My Big Fat Fabulous Life, Whitney Way Thore brings fans deeper into her world—not just through personal moments, but also by showcasing meaningful spaces, including her Greensboro, NC, childhood home.

After the heartbreaking loss of her mother, Babs, in 2022, Whitney’s father, Glenn, moved in with her and considered selling the family home. This emotional turning point led Whitney and her brother, Hunter, to renovate a neglected room in hopes of persuading him to keep the house.

The room—where Whitney once filmed childhood videos—was transformed with new vinyl floors, bright blue paint, and cozy decor, creating what Whitney called their own “HGTV moment.” Glenn, initially skeptical, was blown away by the results and visibly moved.

Whitney now plans further renovations to both homes, including a dedicated pet space, as the family continues to heal and honor Babs’ memory through love, shared spaces, and second chances.
