From Shared Duplex to Separate Lives
When the show first aired, the Kentucky-born sisters were living together in a cozy $239,000 duplex in Dixon, KY. But life has changed a lot since then.
Amy eventually moved out to live with her then-husband Michael Halterman. The couple had two adorable sons together — Gage (4) and Glenn (2). While Amy embraced motherhood, Tammy stayed in the duplex alone… until life took a sharp turn.
Tammy’s Rough Patch & Relocation
Tammy entered rehab for her health, and while she was away, the now-empty home became a target for burglars. After returning, she briefly stayed in a home owned by her sister Amanda — but that arrangement didn’t last.
Eventually, Tammy moved in with her brother Chris and his wife Brittany. The couple decided to renovate one of their nearby investment properties and turn it into a home just for Tammy. It was a much-needed fresh start.
Amy’s Post-Divorce Reset
In 2023, Amy went through a tough divorce from Michael and temporarily moved back in with Tammy. But before long, she decided to return to her old marital home — this time, to begin a brand-new chapter on her own terms.

Chris and Brittany, Tammy’s brother and sister-in-law, owned a rental property right next door — and they decided to fix it up and turn it into a new home just for Tammy. 🛠️🏡
As for Amy, after her split from Michael in 2023, she briefly moved back in with Tammy. But soon after, she returned to her old house to begin a fresh, solo chapter of her life — husband-free and ready to move forward. 💪💔

“I want to get rid of these couches because they remind me of Michael,” Amy told sister Amanda on the show.
“You’re going to have to make new memories here that shove the bad ones out,” Amanda said. “You don’t give yourself enough credit. You can do this.”
