Laurinda Ho, daughter of the late casino tycoon Stanley Ho, donned a range of exquisite gowns during her three-day Bali wedding ceremony with actor Shawn Dou, including bespoke creations from Vera Wang, as well as designs from luxury fashion houses Dior and Valentino.
The groom and bride danced on their big day.
Born in 1991, Ho is the daughter of the late casino mogul Stanley Ho and his third wife Ina Chan. Her father was renowned for his casino empire. Forbes has estimated her mother’s net worth at around $1 billion.
Born in 1988, Dou is a renowned actor. His debut movie was “Under the Hawthorn Tree” directed by Zhang Yimou, while his other work includes “Dangerous Liaisons,” “Time To Love,” and “Princess Agents.
Ho was seen in a collection of expensive wedding dresses. The key gown, which she
wore in the main ceremony, was tailored for her by “bridal queen” Vera Wang.
Following Ho’s request, Wang designed a strap A-line silk dress for her, with flowers made from
Italian lace attached to the dress by hand. The design takes a “less is more” approach.
Vera Wang’s spokesperson said on Weibo that Ho specifically listed her requirements for her
dresses as basic, formal, glorious and floating, instead of being princess-like.
