Sarper Wants Shekinah’s Lips Erased From His Neck — But She Just Admitted She Still Loves Him. So Is the Love Really Dead?

Sarper Güven is ready to scrub Shekinah Garner off his skin — literally. The 90 Day Fiancé star just revealed he wants the giant red lips tattoo on his neck, modeled after his estranged wife, gone for good.
But here is the twist: just one day earlier, Shekinah admitted on a podcast that she still loves him. So if he is erasing the ink while she is still holding the feelings… is the love really dead? Fans are already picking sides — and both camps have receipts.

The Tattoo That Started As a Love Letter
Back when they were the golden couple of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, Sarper got her lips inked on his neck in bright red — because he did not want to hide his commitment. He wanted everybody to see it. Red was the whole symbolism: lips are red, love is red, passion is red. And then came the punchline that writes itself today: unfortunately, nobody told him red is also the color of warning signs.
Why Sarper Wants It Gone Now
In a new interview with Inked magazine, Sarper admitted the tattoo has become a daily reminder of a marriage falling apart in public. “Ideally, I would like to have a clean neck again,” he said — not to wipe his memories. “Sometimes I forget it’s there, but then I look in the mirror and boom! My past is saying good morning to me!” There is a catch, though: at the 90 Day: The Last Resort Tell-All, Shekinah told him red ink cannot be removed, so Sarper now wants to test whether newer laser technology can prove her wrong. A cover-up? He joked that one impulsive decision could leave him with a giant dragon on his neck instead.

Shekinah Still Loves Him — In Her Own Words
On October 19, Shekinah appeared on The Sarah Fraser Show and admitted she still loves Sarper — love, she said, “doesn’t just go away.” Yet she also says she no longer believes he loves her, and she sees no future for them. She filed for divorce on September 29, according to TMZ, citing irreconcilable differences.
So is the ink coming off because the love is truly over — or is a man erasing a tattoo while the woman he is divorcing still says she loves him?

The Drama That Led Here
After 90 Day: The Last Resort showed the couple recommitting, Shekinah torched that moment on Instagram, accusing Sarper of recommitting out of “pity” while planning his exit — and of using the show as “a promo for your comedy career, not an attempt to save our marriage.” Sarper denied choosing fame over her, then declared himself “SINGLE.” Shekinah fired back that she was still legally his wife — then filed the divorce herself on September 29, requesting spousal support. She has also sent him a cease-and-desist letter over jokes about her in his stand-up act. Meanwhile, according to reports, Sarper has been spotted filming what fans believe could be a new season of 90 Day: The Single Life.

Team Erase vs. Team Hold On
Team Erase says the tattoo talk is the final receipt: a man does not laser his wife’s lips off his neck unless the marriage is truly finished. Team Hold On points to yesterday’s podcast: she still loves him, and he said he does not want to “disrespect” what the tattoo once meant. Maybe the ink is not the problem — the timing is.
So here is the question for your group chat: if the tattoo comes off but the feelings never left, which one tells the truth — the neck or the heart? Are you Team Erase or Team Hold On? Drop your verdict in the comments.
