Liz Johnston and her husband Brice Bolden are celebrating Halloween with their baby daughter by placing her in a pumpkin — though she doesn’t seem too thrilled.
In a clip shared exclusively with PEOPLE ahead of Tuesday’s episode of 7 Little Johnstons, Liz and Brice attempt to capture cute photos of Leighton inside a pumpkin. However, after recently getting sick at daycare, Leighton isn’t exactly enjoying her pumpkin photoshoot.
“Since Leighton started daycare, she’s gotten quite sick a few times. She’s dealt with ear infections and we’ve handled some respiratory infections as well,” Liz shared in a joint confessional with Brice.
“So, being a stay-at-home mom is definitely still an option for me,” Liz explains. “We don’t want Leighton getting sick all the time, because it really affects her personality. We just want our happy little ladybug back.”
In the scene, Liz and Brice bring their daughter into the kitchen, dressed only in a diaper, and try to place her into a pumpkin with two holes at the bottom for her legs.
“Try to stick her legs through the hole,” Liz instructs. “You might have to get her feet through,” Brice adds.
“Take out her pacifier,” Liz urges. “Leighton!”
Leighton immediately starts crying as she sits in the pumpkin. “Oh, this is so sad, Leighton!” Liz says, trying to coax a smile from her daughter.

The scene then switches to a confessional with Liz’s parents, Trent and Amber. The two say they’ve never posed their kids in a pumpkin.
“We have never put our kids in a pumpkin,” Trent confirms.
“I so wish I would’ve!” says Amber. “Especially Elizabeth. Like, she would’ve been so damn cute. Alex, I think would’ve been okay.”
The confessional switches to three of Trent and Amber’s other kids. “No,” says Alex, referring to being put in a pumpkin.
Back in the scene, Liz and Brice decide that they’re done trying to get Leighton to pose in the pumpkin. “Alright, we’re done,” Liz says.
“You so did not like it,” Brice says to Leighton. “Nope,” says Liz.
“That was a fail. Give her the [pacifier],” says Liz.
In another confessional, Liz and Brice say that they think their daughter would’ve been more amenable to the pumpkin photos if she had been feeling better.
“I definitely feel like if she was feeling good, she would’ve liked it,” says Brice. “She would’ve probably felt it, maybe try to put her mouth on it.”
“Yeah, I really thought she would’ve been the kid to try to like bite the pumpkin,” says Liz.
“But since she’s not really feeling the best, she…” says Brice, trailing off. “Wanted mom and dad. Be held and mom and dad,” Liz jumps in.
