Whitney Thore shares what she feels about teaching dance and talks about the institution she works at

In Episode 9 of My Big Fat Fabulous Life Season 13, which aired on August 26, 2025, Whitney Thore not only tried to mend the strained relationship between her friends Tal and Buddy but also reflected on a possible move from Greensboro to Salem as she continues her IVF journey ().
Speaking in an interview with Reality Nightcap uploaded to YouTube on July 25, 2025, Whitney opened up about her love of dance and her time teaching at Pineapple Dance Studios — one of the most iconic dance schools in the world
Whitney explained:
“It gives me so much inspiration, but also validation… because it’s one of the most iconic dance studios in the world.”
She described Pineapple as a “huge deal” in the global dance community and shared that she recently connected with the studio’s owner, Debbie, who is currently on holiday in the French Riviera. Debbie gave her a personal video tour of the space, which Whitney called a “lovely” experience. Having visited the studio twice already, she said she felt like she had found a second family there — a place where she could return to the joy of teaching dance, something she has been passionate about since her teenage years.
After time away during the pandemic, returning to teach again has been deeply meaningful. For Whitney, dance isn’t just about movement; it’s about being seen, appreciated, and validated. She admitted she never imagined she would get the chance to teach at Pineapple, and now she feels grateful to be fully immersed once more in something so integral to her life.
When asked about her dreams for the future, Whitney revealed that she is no longer tied to rigid hopes or expectations. Instead, she’s focusing on enjoying the journey — both in her career and her path to motherhood, which is still unfolding and continues to fill her with excitement.
