Famous for her appearances on 90 Day Fiancé, Darcey Silva eventually found love with Georgi Rusev. Although she has been very candid about her ongoing search for romance, Darcey has chosen to remain far more reserved when it comes to discussing the father of her two daughters, Aniko and Aspen. In a rare moment, she touched on her first husband during an exclusive interview with Heavy.
Darcey and her ex were married for eight years before parting ways. She described the separation as mutual, explaining, “We just felt we grew apart and were searching for our soulmates.” Reflecting on the marriage, she shared that the biggest lesson she took away was that “happiness is a virtue and we all deserve it.”
Darcey explained that she and her daughters’ father maintain a respectful and positive relationship. She emphasized how thankful she is for Aniko and Aspen, calling them true blessings in her life. “They’re my angels, and I love them with all my heart and soul — and their father feels the same,” she said.
During the series finale of her spinoff Darcey & Stacey, Georgi got down on one knee and proposed to the Connecticut native. Darcey happily accepted, later calling Georgi her soulmate. Speaking about the engagement, she shared, “It’s a beautiful blessing for both of us.”
Darcey shared that her daughters were supportive of her relationship and even proud of how everything unfolded on screen. “They are proud of us as a family, and they know I’m a strong, empowered mother who always puts them first,” the TLC star said.
Looking ahead, Darcey has already been envisioning her dream wedding. “We’re definitely planning something incredibly beautiful — something breathtaking,” she teased. “You’ll just have to wait and see what the future holds!”
The early stages of Darcey and Georgi’s romance took place during quarantine, a time she says brought them closer. “We learned so much about one another and connected on a deeper, spiritual level, which we’re very grateful for,” the House of Eleven designer explained. “It was a positive and beautiful experience in the midst of such a difficult time for the world. We rose above the challenges, and it only made us stronger.”
