Fans Turned Detectives: Vittorio’s ‘Tuscan Home’ Is Reportedly an Airbnb — and the Fandom Is Split

Forget the love triangles. The biggest 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way scandal this week is not about who kissed whom — it is about a house. Fans turned into amateur detectives, matched screenshots to rental listings, and now believe Vittorio Palchetti’s “Tuscan home” is actually a vacation rental. And the fandom cannot agree on whether that is a scandal, a shrug, or the funniest thing the franchise has ever done.
Here is everything we know so far about the Airbnb investigation — and why it has split viewers straight down the middle.
The Side-by-Side That Broke the Internet

It started with a feeling. When Jessy Peralta got the grand tour of Vittorio’s apartment in Season 8, Episode 3, viewers noticed something odd: the place was beautiful, but it did not look lived in. No personal photos. No clutter that actually belonged to someone. Just very nice furniture and very good lighting.
Then the internet did what it does best. According to Starcasm, fans traced the property to Casa Barthel, a large estate roughly 15 minutes from downtown Florence, where the apartment — called “The Music House” or “Casa della Musica” — is listed as a rental. Side-by-side comparisons of the episode footage and the rental’s own photos show the same stone walls, the same arched windows, the same terrace. As TV Shows Ace reported, fans quickly concluded: “You can tell it’s not his place — the furnishings look like a rental.”
Starcasm reports it can confirm the apartment is an Airbnb rental. Vittorio and TLC have not publicly responded to the claim, so treat the “gotcha” as reported, not officially confirmed — but the photo match is the part fans keep sharing, and it is hard to unsee.
The Horse Named Giuseppe (or Astro?)
Just when the case seemed closed, fans found a second clue — and this one is pure comedy. During the tour, Vittorio told Jessy the resident horse’s name is Giuseppe. But according to Starcasm, every Casa Barthel post featuring the horse calls him Astro.
Viewers are now divided over what the mix-up means. One camp says it proves Vittorio barely knows the property he presented as h is own. The other says he simply got a horse’s name wrong on camera — embarrassing, sure, but hardly a crime. Either way, “Giuseppe vs. Astro” is now the fandom’s favorite punchline, and the horse has arguably become the breakout star of the season.
Team “We Knew It” vs. Team “So What?”

The investigation poured fuel on a fire that was already burning. Viewers were already skeptical of Jessy and Vittorio’s storyline, citing their lack of physical chemistry and Jessy’s reality TV resume — she is a pageant veteran appearing on her third reality series, according to TV Shows Ace. The apartment reveal gave the skeptics their receipts.
“This whole show is ridiculously scripted nowadays,” one fan wrote, according to TV Shows Ace, while another claimed Vittorio actually lives in New York and teaches tennis there — a claim that remains unverified fan speculation, not a confirmed fact. A Reddit discussion on October 23 offered a calmer explanation: Vittorio reportedly grew up in the Tuscan countryside near a villa where his parents still live, but the filming location may have been rented because shooting at his family home was not possible.
Meanwhile, Team “So What?” has a point of its own: reality shows rent filming locations all the time. Starcasm itself speculates that production company Sharp likely rented out the estate’s rentals as a home base for the crew, which would make the whole thing a practical decision rather than a deception. “Producers encourage the cast to say and do things to get reactions,” one fan noted — and a pretty rental makes prettier television than a cramped real apartment.
The Bigger Question Fans Can’t Stop Asking
Strip away the memes, and the debate is really about trust. Fans do not expect reality TV to be a documentary — but they do expect the emotional core to be real. If the home is staged, they ask, what else is? If the home is just a filming location, they counter, why present it as “my apartment” at all?
For now, the mystery stands: the photos match, the horse has two names, and neither Vittorio nor Jessy has explained anything. Until they do, the fandom’s detective agency remains open for business — and Casa Barthel, reportedly, has never looked better.
So where do you stand? Is the Airbnb reveal a dealbreaker that ruins Jessy and Vittorio’s story, or just behind-the-scenes business as usual? And more importantly — are you Team Giuseppe or Team Astro? Tell us in the comments.
