Introduction:

Rosie Martinez with Weddings by Yuri brought a touch of Spanish influence to a classic and elegant wedding at Knotting Hill Place. With romantic, light, and airy vibes, this wedding blended both Spanish and Texas cultures seamlessly, creating a truly unique and memorable day.

Design, Vibe, Vision:

The vision for the wedding day was to create a classic and elegant atmosphere with a splash of Spanish influence. Rosie Martinez with Weddings by Yuri helped design the day to give off romantic, light, and airy vibes. The combination of Spanish and Texas cultures came together perfectly to create a unique and unforgettable experience.

Proposal Story:

Diego, the groom, proposed in April of 2022 while his parents were visiting from Spain. After enjoying a lovely dinner, they went to watch the sunset over the lake. When they arrived at Sunset Point, there was a table set up with pictures, flowers, sweet treats, and champagne. Diego got down on one knee and proposed, and they were met with their friends and family to celebrate the occasion.

Wedding Gown:

The bride found her stunning Berta wedding dress at The Bridal Boutique in Lewisville. She tried on several dresses before and after it, but she knew it was “the one” from the moment she put it on. Her family agreed that it was the perfect dress for her.

Bridesmaid Dresses:

The bridesmaids wore long, satin, Indie Blue-colored dresses from Revelry. Each bridesmaid chose a different style that suited her personal preference and style.

Groomsmen Attire:

The groomsmen wore navy suits, ivory shirts, and brown shoes styled by Brent Lob and Q Clothier. The groom wore a custom ivory printed tuxedo jacket also made by Brent Lob at Q Clothier, black custom pants, and black suede loafers.

Food & Drink:

Culinary Arts brought the Spanish/Texas fusion vision to life. For cocktail hour, they served two Spanish tapas and two Texas-style hors d’oeuvres. For dinner, they had a chicken option, carving station, and paella station, which is a traditional Spanish meal. Colada provided the beverages of the night, including the bride and groom’s signature drinks.

Florals & Decor:

Bella Flora created the perfect floral decor to match the classy and romantic vibes of the wedding. The ceremony had large elevated bouquets lining the aisle and framing the altar. The reception area had a staircase decorated with florals cascading over the edge and candles climbing the other side. Tables had high and low bouquets, candles scattered around, and all the flatware accented in gold. White, ivory, peach, blush, and blue tones were used throughout the floral arrangements.

Wedding Cake:

The wedding cake was created by Sugar Bee Sweets and was decorated in monochromatic simple designs, with each layer differing from the other. Florals further embellished the cake on the top and sides. The groom chose a 007 theme for his cake, which Sugar Bee Sweets displayed beautifully.

Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs:

The goal of the wedding planning process was to create a beautiful fusion of both cultures. The officiant was accompanied by a Spanish translator, a close friend of the groom. During the vows, Diego spoke in English, and the bride spoke in Spanish. Throughout the rest of the night, DJ Nate Acosta with DNA services played a combination of music in both languages, and everyone danced the night away.

Special Detail:

The most special part of the wedding was that the couple said their vows in each other’s first language. Diego is from Madrid, and the bride is from Dallas, and they wanted their wedding to be a display of both cultures. This special detail perfectly merged their two cultures and made the day even more meaningful.

Conclusion:

The classic elegance and Spanish influence of this wedding made it a truly unique and unforgettable experience. The perfect combination of romantic, light, and airy vibes, along with the fusion of Spanish and Texas cultures, created a beautiful and memorable wedding day.
