Welcome to the story of Lauren Megerdichian and her edgy, fashion-forward garden wedding. This bride wasn’t afraid to be bold and completely herself, and with the help of Violet and Bone, she turned her dream wedding into a reality. From the black floral bridesmaids dresses to the 7-tier aged patina cake designed by the bride herself, there was personality oozing from every corner of their special day.
The wedding took place at the stunning Paramour Estate, which the couple chose for its uniqueness, magic, and fashion-forward vibe. The bride had a fashion-forward garden theme in mind from the beginning, and October’s edgy, dark mansion and high fashion elements were a perfect recipe for her dream wedding.
The bride’s dress was by Galia Lahav, and it was her garden dream dress. The lightweight and airy fabric was perfect for easy movement, and the dress was made to suck her in, so she didn’t have to work out or do anything. The bride went to six other bridal stores but ultimately loved the custom sleeves she added to her dress and that it was couture-made to fit her measurements, standing at only 4’9.
For the cake design, the bride drew up an idea for an aged patina cake with bas relief, birds, flowers, gold snakes, butterflies, and a modern sugar flower design. Grace and Honey Cakes did an amazing job bringing her moody, whimsical garden cake to life. The bride had rectangular tables with velvet tablecloths from La Tavola and all tabletops from Casa De Perrin. She added napkin rings with gold butterflies, snacks, and others on the head table of 40 people to make it look over the top. The round tables were wood with a pedestal to amp up the garden theme. Gorgeous French garden-style chandeliers and thick clear acrylic table numbers made in Australia by sketch and etch creative added to the overall vibe. Ikebena style flowers mixed in on the tables brought everything to life.
The theme and mood of their wedding were eclectic, designer-focused, moody, classic, and edgy all rolled into one. The bride decided on the theme based on making a story that would best fit with the house. She and her husband were the butterflies in this sort of menacing world with all the other things you would find in a garden like snakes, birds, insects, and such. Basically, they were the light in the darkness.
The color palette was girly, yet also had a mood, and the bride’s signature in life is black and gold. She worked out color tones using color generators to create the floral story and overall vibe.
The wedding was special because of the magical location overlooking downtown LA, the Hollywood sign, and Griffith Observatory. The guests got the chance to experience the history and special magical tucked away place that they had never even heard of. The bride’s husband and family beamed with pride about how wonderful everything turned out, making it special for them all. They all wish they could do it over again and had so much fun. The bride, her husband, and family got to stay at the Paramour and woke up and had breakfast the next morning by the pool, extending that wonderful day.
In conclusion, Lauren Megerdichian’s edgy, fashion-forward garden wedding was a beautiful representation of her unique and bold personality. From the stunning dress to the amazing cake and creative table settings, every detail was carefully thought out and executed with precision. The magical location, mood, and color palette made the day unforgettable for everyone involved.
