However, after having to move their wedding forward due to family illness, she decided to check out the fast-fashion store.
It was there she found her gown, a floor-length ivory dress with a v-neck, embellished waist belt, and a chiffon overskirt, for just £53 (AU$98).
Sharing some pictures from her big day on the Shein Addicts Australia Facebook group, she said: “I’ve been waiting to get my wedding photos back to post this but here is my SHEIN dress, veil, earrings, and floral hairpiece!”
While Taylor’s dress is no longer available online, similar styles like the EVER-PRETTY Sequin Decor Pearls Beaded Mesh Wedding Dress will set shoppers back just £51.49.
Shoppers can also pick up the Minimalist Bridal Veil for £3.50, and the High-Grade Faux Pearl Bridal Earrings For Women Dating Jewellery are priced at just £1.25.
Speaking exclusively to Fabulous, she added: “I picked SHEIN because we ended up moving our wedding forward due to my mother-in-law being diagnosed with cancer – she’s now in remission!
“We had 100 days to plan the wedding and the original dress I picked was a Stella York dress but at AU$2099 it’s not something I was going to be able to afford on short notice.
“I shop on SHEIN quite a bit so I already knew they sold wedding dresses so I decided to have a look.
“I bought 2 but chose the second one I had purchased.
“The dress needed no alterations whatsoever. It fit perfectly.
“It cost me AU$98, my veil was AU$7, the earrings were AU$2.95 and the floral hairpiece was AU$4.95.”
She also revealed some other savvy ways she saved money on her big day, explaining that she actually reused a friend’s bouquet.
She said: “I borrowed [my flowers] off one of my bridesmaids who got married before me.
“I used her bouquet, one of them used my bridesmaid bouquet and the other used a spare one. Saved me lots of money haha.
“I also borrowed all her table decor from her wedding too for my reception.”
Fans loved her bargain gown, with her post gaining more than 350 likes.
In the comments, other Shein fans shared their reactions, with one writing: “You look absolutely gorgeous! Proof you don’t need to pay thousands to look stunning in your wedding day.”
“How beautiful… you’re glowing,” commented another.
A third added: “Gorgeous… I wish SHEIN was around when I got married!”
