Amy Halterman Blasted by Fans Over ‘Ridiculous’ Prices for Selfies and Autographs: ‘This Is Just Gross!’
Reality TV personality Amy Halterman is facing major backlash after revealing the sky-high prices she’s charging fans for selfies and autographs.
The 1000-Lb Sisters star, 37, who has racked up over 1.3 million followers thanks to her and sister Tammy Slaton’s highly publicized weight loss journey, is now being called out for what many are calling “greedy behavior.”
In July 2025, Amy promoted an upcoming “social media influencer meet and greet” happening this September in Kentucky — but fans weren’t thrilled when they saw the price list. Attendees will have to shell out $20 just to snap a selfie with her, and another $30 for a simple autograph.
The outrage came fast in the comments of Amy’s Instagram post. Some followers couldn’t believe she was asking fans to pay these kinds of fees. One bluntly called it “gross behavior,” while another said, “This is wild to me.“
For many loyal viewers who’ve supported Amy through her ups and downs, these prices felt like a slap in the face.

Another frustrated fan chimed in, writing:
“This is really disappointing. I remember watching you and Tammy at your very first meet and greet — back then it felt like you truly cared about your fans and the impact you were having. What happened to being humble and gracious?”
Despite the wave of criticism, not everyone was ready to turn their back on Amy. While plenty of followers were venting their frustrations online, others defended her decision, reminding critics that charging for selfies and autographs is “totally normal” in the world of reality TV and influencer culture.
One supporter tried to put things into perspective, writing:
“This is how they make a living now — it’s their job, just like anyone else working to earn a paycheck. Don’t take it so personally, because it’s really not meant that way.”
