Olivia Plath has officially announced she’s leaving the TLC show, marking her exit two years after her split from Ethan Plath. Her final episode is set to air soon.

Olivia Plath is officially saying goodbye to Welcome to Plathville.
The TLC star—who split from Ethan Plath in 2023 after five years of marriage—confirmed that the Sept. 30 season 7 finale will be the last episode she ever films for the show.
Reflecting on her journey, Olivia shared that when she started filming seven years ago, she was a sheltered newlywed who didn’t yet know who she was. The past years brought challenges she wasn’t sure she would get through, but she now sees how much she’s grown.
She admitted that closing this chapter brings sadness, especially when she thinks about who she once knew and what things could have been.
Olivia said her final appearance was filmed some time ago, and that she has since worked hard to get out of her contract—and succeeded—though she still has to follow an NDA. She added that she’s tried to speak up against hate, bullying, and harmful behavior, saying it’s painful to see “violence, hatred and dysfunction” presented as entertainment.
Olivia first joined the show in 2019 during season 1, shortly after marrying Ethan, the eldest of Kim and Barry Plath’s ten children. The couple separated in 2023 and later filed for divorce.
Two years after their split, Olivia called ending the relationship “the best decision,” saying her younger self didn’t yet know her worth and stayed too long out of fear and insecurity.

Olivia says she now understands her role in a relationship, recognizing which conflicts can be resolved and which are worth walking away from.
“When someone doesn’t choose me,” she added, “I’m better off choosing myself and moving on, rather than trying to change or control the situation.”
