Brides and their families and friends can experience all our hometowns have to offer when it comes to planning your wedding.

Organizers say this year trending items have changed.

“With the wedding gowns, it’s back to more traditional wedding gowns. like high necks, veils are very hot this year. Gloves, like the elbow length opera style gloves, so it’s very traditional, almost understated elegance, this year. Another big trend in the catering department for your reception is we’re seeing a lot of grazing tables, charcuterie boards are hot you know for the appetizer, cocktail hour,” said Angeline Frame, Owner of Virginia Bride Magazine.

There will be more than fifty vendors for venues, food, cake tasting, dresses, and more.

As a special treat, Monte Durham from Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta will be there to emcee the fashion show and host a question and answer session along with taking photos with fans. WDBJ7 asked him what made the perfect dress.

“If you’re getting married in the cathedral, you’ll probably want a more elaborate gown, if you’re getting married on the beach maybe something in organza, if you’re going to the mountains and romantic maybe it’s lace. So, always look at the venue first and then I step back and look at the dress.,” explained Durham. “Cause you want to look at the fit. You want to look at the fabric on it. Which fabric is satin, (and) silk whether it be organza, marcato, or crape. And then you want to look at the fashion of it. Is it a sweetheart neckline, is it a bowed neckline, is it a jeweled neckline, is it strapless, do you have a full skirt on a slim skirt.”
