Man Discovers Video of His Wife’s Wedding to Another Man While Surfing the Internet, Hastily Reports to the Police, and Receives a Harsh Truth

A man living in Bayannaoer city, Inner Mongolia, recently experienced a huge shock when he discovered the true identity of his newlywed wife of a few months after accidentally watching a wedding video online. The man, named Doan Thanh, reported the incident to the local police, who later uncovered a marriage fraud ring.

Doan Thanh stumbled upon a wedding video while browsing on Kuaishou in mid-March. He recognized the bride in the video as his own wife, whom he had married after being introduced to her by a matchmaker. They had a lavish wedding ceremony costing 148,000 yuan (about 22,800 US dollars), and Doan had given Nana, his wife, a gift of 1,000 yuan (about 154 US dollars) when they first met.

Nana had told Doan that she had a difficult past and had been divorced before. She said she was looking for a reliable and kind-hearted husband, and Doan was sympathetic to her story. However, after their wedding, Nana kept making excuses to delay registering their marriage, such as claiming her father had been in an accident and needed medical treatment.

Doan became worried when Nana disappeared for more than a month without any explanation. He only realized that he had been duped when he stumbled upon the wedding video online and saw Nana with another groom. Doan went to the police and reported the incident, and an investigation revealed that Nana and her accomplices had been running a marriage fraud ring.

The police discovered that Nana’s aunt, Lý, was the matchmaker for both marriages. Nana and five other accomplices were arrested for deceiving men into giving them money for engagement gifts and wedding expenses. Lý was also arrested for her role in the fraud.

The case of Doan Thanh and Nana’s marriage fraud has sparked a debate about the importance of being cautious when seeking a partner and the risks of relying on matchmakers. It also highlights the need for stricter regulations to prevent marriage fraud. The incident serves as a warning for those seeking love to be cautious and not to be taken in by scams.
