Over 300,000 people tuned in to see Lydia Plath and Zac Wyse say “I do” on Welcome to Plathville last month, but Lydia says she has no plans to ever watch her own wedding episode.

During an Instagram Q&A session on Tuesday, Lydia revealed that she hasn’t watched the episode featuring her wedding, due to how the show was edited to focus more on the antics of Lydia’s siblings (and their significant others). Lydia stated that she doesn’t want the good memories she has from that day tainted.

“Did you end up watching the wedding episode?” a fan asked the fair-haired newlywed.

“No, I didn’t,” Lydia replied. “I have my memories of my experience on my wedding day and I don’t need to watch an edited dramatized version of other people’s perspective of my beautiful wedding day. Besides, we have the best wedding video in the world to go back and watch!”

As ‘Welcome to Plathville’ fans saw, the two episodes covering Lydia and Zac’s wedding were filled with footage of drama between Lydia’s brother Micah and his then-girlfriend Veronica Peters, as well as drama between Veronica and pretty much everyone else in the family. From fights about attending the reception, to Veronica very obviously choosing to hang out with local cows rather than the Plath family, both episodes showed all the Plath family drama happening as Lydia and Zac enjoyed their ceremony and reception.

“I sure wish Jesus was here right. I need someone to turn this water into wine to help me deal with all my siblings’ nonsense!”

This is not the first time Lydia has refused to watch an episode of her family’s show. Back in August, Lydia revealed that Zac warned her against watching the episode of the show that featured his proposal to her. (As fans saw, the Brothers Plath and their girlfriends basically hazed poor Zac as he tried to include them in his proposal plans.)

“Zac told me [not to watch it] and that’s all I needed to hear,” she said during an interview with Access Hollywood. “I was frustrated with them, to say the least. But I was also like, ‘Whatever, we’re going to get through this. In a few months, that’s not going to be a big deal because we’ll talk through it with them.’”

I dunno, I think this is probably ALWAYS going to be a big deal…

“We’re not going to let them take us off of our path,” Zac added.

During her Instagram Q&A on Tuesday, Lydia also revealed that she has learned a lot in the eight months since the wedding.

“I didn’t realize how much I avoided conflict or confrontation with everything in me,” Lydia responded when asked how marriage has changed her. “So learning how to have healthy conversation in the midst of misunderstanding or miscommunication has been my biggest challenge that I’m growing in.”

“Healthy conversations? Can’t say we’ve modeled any of those in this family!”
