Little People Big World star Jackson Roloff endured his first leg surgery in December 2021. Zach and Tori Roloff opted to have a less invasive surgery done to help correct Jackson’s bowing legs. Growth plates were placed on his legs to help straighten them over time.
However, the downside is that it will take four or five years to actually see any real improvement. Fans had been concerned over how Jackson’s legs appeared. Now, it’s been revealed that Jackson did undergo a second surgery in December 2023. Is he okay? Keep reading to find out what Zach and Tori revealed.
Jackson Roloff endured a second surgery
Zach and Tori Roloff have launched their own podcast titled, Raising Heights. On their latest episode, they confirmed they were leaving Little People Big World. Season 25 will be their last.
The couple shared their reasons behind leaving the successful TLC show and one shocked fans. A big part of why they are choosing to begin a new chapter is because of their children.
Zach and Tori revealed that Jackson had a screw break in his leg from the first surgery. So, it was necessary for a second surgery to take place. Nobody knew about this second surgery and that is because Jackson asked them not to film it.
The first time Jackson didn’t have a choice and Zach and Tori chose to share that experience with the world. However, this time, Jackson spoke up and said he didn’t want his surgery to be filmed.
Tori said, “He had leg surgery, and he shared it on national television because of us…he didn’t consent to it, we decided to share it, and fast-forward two years, and he broke a screw, and he had to go in and have a second surgery. And the world doesn’t know that because we didn’t share it because he asked us specifically, ‘Can we not film it?’ He did not want the filmers, he called them the filmers, to come to the hospital or to be there when he got home.”
Fortunately, Jackson is okay and according to his parents never complains about pain in his legs. This doesn’t stop fans from being concerned and worried about how his legs and feet appear.
Moving forward without the show
While Zach and Tori Roloff say they are grateful for the show and the experiences they had over the years, it’s time to move on to something new. Not only are they doing it for their kids but also to put distance between them and the rest of the Roloff family.
