Bride running towards the bridegroom who is waiting her on the vespa motorbike to go away somewhere

The joyous occasion of a wedding turned into a nightmare for a bride in Hyderabad, India, when her groom, Syed Azmath, failed to show up at the ceremony. The bride and her family were left waiting for hours, wondering what had happened to the groom, only to receive shocking news.

According to the Times of India, the wedding was scheduled to take place on International Women’s Day, March 8th, at a banquet hall in the Pahadishareef village of Old City in Hyderabad, Andha Predesh (India). The bride and her family eagerly awaited the groom’s arrival, but several hours passed, and he was nowhere to be found.

The bride’s family eventually received news that the groom had fled because he was unhappy with the amount of dowry they had provided. Apparently, Azmath had visited the bride’s family several times in the past, hoping to convince them to let him marry her.

However, the family had initially refused, but he eventually managed to persuade them. When the two families met to discuss the wedding details, Azmath demanded more money and household appliances as part of the dowry. The bride’s family reluctantly agreed, but it seemed that this was not enough to satisfy the groom’s greed.

Azmath had even skipped some of the pre-wedding ceremonies, but he had promised the bride’s family that he would marry her on the day of the wedding. However, he disappeared right before the ceremony, leaving the bride and her family devastated.

Incredibly, Azmath even spread malicious rumors that the bride’s father had passed away, leading to the cancellation of the wedding. It was only later that the bride’s family discovered the truth about the groom’s deceitful actions.

Outraged by Azmath’s behavior, the bride’s family filed a complaint with the authorities. After investigating the matter, the police confirmed that Azmath was guilty of harassment and extortion for the dowry.

The story of the runaway groom has shocked many readers, highlighting the issue of dowry in India. This incident serves as a reminder that greed and dishonesty have no place in a marriage. The bride and her family deserve justice for the trauma they have endured. It is essential to address and eradicate this harmful practice in society.
