OutDaughtered Season 11: Adam & Danielle Busby Finally Answer — Are They Done With Reality TV?

Every time the Busbys post a video, the comments fill up with the same question: when is Season 11? After two years off TLC, fans have split into two camps — the ones begging for the cameras to come back, and the ones insisting the girls deserve a normal life. Now, for the first time in a long time, Adam and Danielle Busby have actually answered the question.

Not in a vague Instagram Story. On their own podcast — the 100th episode of More Than Reality — with a microphone in front of each of them and nowhere to hide.

The Episode That Finally Said It Out Loud

According to the official show notes for Episode 100, titled “Are We Done With Reality TV? The Truth After 100 Episodes,” the couple looked back at “100 episodes. 10 years of OutDaughtered. 20 years of marriage. And a life we never could have planned.”

Then came the part fans have waited years to hear. Adam and Danielle addressed “where they stand today, conversations they’ve had with producers, why they’re hesitant to jump back into traditional network television, and why they both still feel there may be another way to tell their family’s story.”

Read that carefully. Not “never.” Not “yes, cameras roll next month.” The door isn’t closed — but it’s not the same door anymore.

Why “Hesitant” — In Their Own Words

The episode didn’t shy away from the parts of reality TV fans never saw. According to the show notes, Adam opened up about how much he was actually away from Danielle and the girls during the early years — working a demanding full-time career while building their YouTube channel, editing videos until 2 or 3 in the morning, then getting back up before 5:00 AM for work.

Danielle shared how overwhelming those early years became — “why there are entire seasons of life with the quints that now feel like a blur.” That’s the context behind the hesitation. This isn’t bitterness — it’s exhaustion remembered honestly.

What Would Have to Change

Here’s what keeps the hope alive: the couple told listeners they still believe there may be “another way to tell their family’s story” — outside traditional network television. And they’re building the infrastructure for exactly that. The show notes reveal “the new More Than Reality studio is finally about to become a reality, opening the door to more guests, new conversations, and the next 100 episodes.”

Meanwhile, TLC has said nothing official. The last update from the couple themselves came in a September 2025 Q&A, when they told fans Season 11 was a “maybe” — and that they were “currently not filming or on the schedule to film.” More than a year later, according to reports, that still stands.

So no, OutDaughtered isn’t coming back to your TV this fall. But the Busbys haven’t stopped telling their story — they’ve just moved it to their own studio, on their own terms.

Two Camps, One Family

The fandom’s great divide isn’t going away. One camp says the girls are 11 now, the cameras shaped their childhood enough, and the podcast era is the healthiest version of the Busbys we’ve ever seen. The other camp misses the show that brought them together.

Here’s the question that ends every debate: if the Busbys offered a brand-new, self-produced family series — no TLC, no network — would you watch it? Or has the magic moved on with the girls’ childhood? Sound off in the comments.
