90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way focuses on Americans building new lives abroad for love. Still, we’ve seen plenty of cases where those Americans realize the move is harder than expected and ultimately choose to relocate their partners to the United States instead. While some couples thrive overseas, many pivot once the chance to move back presents itself. And after the latest episode, it seems likely that Chloe Fabiano and Johny Fernandes may be heading down that same path thanks to a very tempting offer.
This episode marked the second week in a row that Chloe’s mother, Michelle, visited Aruba to check on how her daughter was adjusting. Chloe didn’t mention her recent attempt to spy on Johny for signs of cheating, but she couldn’t hide the serious financial difficulties the couple is facing as they try to get settled. That conversation opened the door to a major offer—one that I’d be genuinely shocked to see them refuse.
Chloe’s Mother Wants the Couple to Relocate to Boston
Unlike couples such as Manon and Anthony—who were able to finance their international move by selling a home—Chloe has largely depended on financial support from her mother to start her life abroad. Michelle’s visit wasn’t just to check in; it was also to let Chloe know that she planned to stop funding her.
However, Michelle did offer one way she’d continue helping: if Chloe and Johny agreed to leave Aruba and move to Boston. There, Chloe could take the job her mother already arranged for her, and Johny could remain in the U.S. while awaiting his green card approval and eventual work eligibility.
With a Solid Job Waiting for Chloe, the Choice Feels Straightforward
Chloe originally had a secure position lined up through her mother, but gave it up to move to Aruba with Johny. Now she’s unable to work, and even beginning the process to become eligible requires a $600 fee plus recurring monthly costs. Returning home to accept a salaried job with benefits seems like a highly appealing alternative. Without making too many assumptions, it’s fair to guess that Chloe’s job offer would pay significantly more than Johny earns working as a party boat entertainer.
Aruba is stunning—there’s no denying it—but relocating to Boston wouldn’t exactly be a miserable trade-off. Boston is a vibrant, bustling U.S. city with endless opportunities and things to do. In fact, plenty of other 90 Day Fiancé couples would jump at the chance to live there rather than settling in a remote area like Wyoming or another rural state.
That photo of Chloe appearing to celebrate Halloween back in the U.S. suddenly feels a lot more telling. Could it be hinting that 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way will wrap up with the couple choosing to relocate to Boston after all? If I had to guess, the decision between a stable life in a major city and financial hardship on an island doesn’t seem like a close call. After all, what’s the point of living in paradise if you don’t have the money to actually enjoy it?
90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way airs Mondays at 8:00 p.m. ET on TLC and will continue into the new year as part of the 2026 TV lineup. I’m looking forward to seeing what Chloe and Johny ultimately decide, and even more curious about their next steps if they remain firmly opposed to leaving Aruba.
